Auvergne
corresponds to the Arvernes's old province, placed in
the heart of the Central Clump. The French regional economic
organization r added Allie to Puy de Dôme's, Cantal
and Haute Loire departments. Delayed its urbanization,
this Region is placed in the center of France as what
it felt isolated, in the moment of the European unification.
The physical geography corresponds to plains delimited
by the Allier's course. To both sides wide mountains,
eastward up to the Loire waterdivide line, and towards
the west up to the borders of high Dordogne. The Auvergne
mountains, high volcanic lands, constitute the vertebral
column of the Region; Clermont Ferrand's vicinities -
extend most than 200 kilometres to beyond Aurillac.
